BACCANALLE FOOD HEATING INSTRUCTIONS

Overall please note: Food should be heated to an internal temperature of 165F

Roasted Veggies & Candied Yams

  • Candied Yams & Roasted Veggies are ideally reheated in the oven at 375F until they have reached the recommended internal temperature above

Macaroni Pie/Mac & Cheess or Mashed Potatoes 

    • Reheat in the microwave until it has  reached the recommended internal temperature above or in an oven-safe baking dish at 350-375F - cover with foil (not microwave) or an oven-safe lid. Optionally finish in the oven for a crunchy top.​

Coconut Rice & Peas

    • Reheat in the microwave until it has reached the recommended internal temperature above or heat in an oven-safe baking dish - cover with foil or an oven-safe lid (350-375F)

Stuffing

    • Reheat in the microwave until it has reached the recommended internal temperature above or in a parchment lined oven-safe baking dish - cover with foil or an oven-safe lid (350-375F)

Callaloo

    • Reheat in the microwave until it has reached the recommended internal temperature above or on medium heat in a saucepan on the stove

Patties

    • 1-3 patties - heat in 350F oven on a baking tray for 15 minutes (approx) 
    • 1-3 patties - heat in microwave for 1-2 minutes then heat in 350F oven on a baking tray for 5 minutes (approx)
    • bulk patty reheat - place flat on baking tray (line with parchment) then heat in 350F oven on a baking tray for 15-20 minutes (approx)

Gourmet Waffle Reheat I

  1. Preheat oven to 350F

  2. Microwave for 1 minute  (time may vary depending on power capacity to reach your desired temperature)

  3. Place waffles directly on oven rack for 5 minutes for a crunchier waffle or on heated Belgian waffle maker (if the size fits!) for 30 seconds or until it reaches desired temperature.  Lower oven temperature to keep warm.

 

Cranberry/Apple Compote

  • Serve cold

 

​Frittata

  • Heat in Microwave for 1-2 minutes (per slice)

 

Pulled Jerk Chicken

  • Heat in Microwave for 2 minutes per serving (time may vary depending on power capacity to reach your desired temperature)

  • Heat in hot skillet with 1 tbsp of canola or vegetable oil – 1-2 minutes

 

Fried Bakes

  • Heat in Microwave for 1 minute

Maple Syrup

  • Serve Cold

 

Sweet Lemon Mascarpone

  • Serve cold

 

Saltfish

  • Heat in microwave 2 minutes per serving (time may vary depending on power capacity to reach your desired temperature) OR heat in sauce pan – simmer for one minute on medium

Jerk Chicken (whole)

  • Preheat oven to 350F

  • Heat in microwave 10 minutes

  • Place in heated oven for at least 15 minutes 

Rice & Peas

  • (Family style portion) Heat in microwave for at least 5 minutes or warm in oven (covered) at 350F

  • (Stock the freezer/750ml portion) Heat in microwave for at least 5 minutes or warm in oven (covered) at 350F

 

 Turkey (Whole)

**Please note that the roasting pan included is new and has never been used.**

  1. Pour a litre of liquid - water, apple juice or Apple  cider In the bottom of the pan.  Mix in with any stock already at the bottom of the pan or provided with your order.

  2. Carve the turkey and place the legs and wing (whole) in the bottom of the pan with the liquid. 

  3. Scoop out the apple (apple-spice turkey) or jerk seasoning from the inside and drop it into the pan.    

  4. Add a few  layers of sliced turkey to cover the liquid.

  5. Cover and bake in a 340 heated oven until it is warmed up (internal temperature of 165F/74C) - check after 20 minutes and then every 10.

 

Turkey (Half)

  1. Pour a half litre of liquid - water, apple juice or Apple  cider In the bottom of the pan.  Mix in with any stock already at the bottom of the pan or provided with your order.

  2. Carve the turkey and place the legs and wing (whole) in the bottom of a baking or casserole dish with the liquid. 

  3. Scoop out the apple (apple-spice turkey) or jerk seasoning from the inside and drop it into the pan.    

  4. Add a few  layers of sliced turkey to cover the liquid.

  5. Cover and bake in a 340 heated oven until it is warmed up (internal temperature of 165F/74C) - check after 20 minutes and then every 10.

Turkey Slices (Family Style Dinner)

  1. Pour a litre of water, apple juice or Apple  cider (or some combination of any of these) In the bottom of the pan.  Mix in with any stock already at the bottom of the pan.

  2. Place the slices in the bottom of the pan with the liquid.  (microwaveable for microwave)

  3. Add a few  layers of sliced turkey to cover the liquid.

    • For regular oven, cover and bake in a 325 heated oven until it is warmed up (internal temperature of 165F/74C) - check after 20 minutes and then every 10.

    • For microwave, cover and cook for 2 minutes then turn over the slices before microwaving again.

Turkey Dinner (Individual)​

  1. So easy!  Your dinner is microwaveable except for the sauce and clear containers!
